Public health sciences

The definition of public health science (English: public health) by Winslow professor from Yale University (leavel and Clark, 1958) is the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life, improve physical and mental health, and efficiency through organized community efforts to improve environmental sanitation, control of infection in the community, individual education on personal hygiene, the organization of medical care and treatment, for early diagnosis, preventive and social aspects of development, which will support in order to everyone in the community has a strong living standards to maintain their health.

American Medical Association, AMA, (1948) defines Public Health is the science and art of maintaining, protecting and improving public health through community organizing efforts.
